Is there any truth to the fact Hills Football is looking to take over GSAP and GCL from Hills United??
Would seem a little odd given the success it appears to be under HUFC and the fact Hills Football are suppose to be focussed on grass roots football!!
If it’s true, you have to ask yourself....WHY??

I’ve heard it’s a shambles under HUFC. Second rate behind the boys. Top quality coaching for the boys, good helpers for the girls.

bandit from what I have seen is HFI have been running this not HUFC,HFI need to give this over to HUFC 100% and then they can say its not working not have their finger in the pie then throw rocks.
HFI need to worry about our comp and stay away from rep football until they make our comp the best they can, we are way behind at the moment. Some board members need to step up or move on

I guess it proves how little we all know on here. Or think we know!
At least with an Association run program there’s a guarantee the poor kids fees aren’t feeding has been / no one first grade players

Is this to shore up numbers so that the GSAP and GCL players can be counted as part of the association so that HFI can say the Hills Association is growing female participation ?
Will be interesting to see how much registration is next year

Will be interesting to see how much registration is next year Following a FNSW Board meeting last Thursday night these are the maximum increases association/clubs can charge for 2020. GSAP $1650 up from $1500 GCL $1500 up from $1200 GPL 1 & 2 $1900 up from $1600

I Think HFI have the cart before the horse on girls football. Why do we need GCL teams when clubs cant even enter competitive junior teams in the local Comp. Send these girls back to there Clubs and boost the numbers that way.
I understand everyone wants the best coaching etc. for their kids but taking general park footballers away from grass roots clubs with the promise of a Matilda's jersey seems crazy to me.

“Stealing” players v providing player a pathways should they want it.
I wonder if the big clubs (green) (red and black) will encourage their talented players to push themselves at the next level. Or keep them and brag about how many state cups they won.

Mens/Mixed already have an option for the next level, Hills United

I’ve heard it’s a shambles under HUFC. Second rate behind the boys. Top quality coaching for the boys, good helpers for the girls. I only know of one GCL coach at HU.... he is an ex EPL player and has his A Licence from FFA. That's a pretty good helper!

Not sure of your position on the board or HFI but you tend to be very protective when someone asks a question, don’t be so defensive and just work to fix the association football program which impacts the majority of your customers and leave the representative programs to those that know what they are doing with their “Happy Helpers”.....😂

Hook line and sinker ;-)
I’m the main culprit of not knowing anything but love stirring the pot with with you funny blokes.
Ok I’ll be honest. I have no idea about anything to do with the girls sap or GCL. All I know is that from the surface it all seems fine. They get to play and train at an amazing facility. What more could you ask for.
What I don’t like is constant bagging of any group that is doing their best to achieve what we are all here for. That is football. This is the Hills Board. FNSW board and FFA Board. Ok, you might not agree with their decisions, and you may think they are just some muppets. I don’t agree with everything they decide to do, but I have no doubt they make what they believe is the best decision with the information at hand, or the information that you or I aren’t privy to.
No, I’m not on the HFI board. However I have sat on a NFP board previously and understand what it’s like on the other side.
This is the exact reason why our great game is in the position it’s currently in. When the group in charge makes a decision that they believe is right, the rest of the population below kicks, screams and moans because they personally don’t agree with it. Glass half full attitude.
Mr Dreamgoal and sweetleftfoot and others, you have 2 choices:
1) go with what ever they decide and help build our game Or 2) just keep battling against, keep talking down and keep fighting.
I’ll revert back to this in a years time and we will see where we are at with it all.
Bandit out
