Clutching at straws there Dreamy.. I do remember them advertising both boys and girls trials last year. Isn’t that a good thing? Exactly. This says zero about HFI going it alone. Ain't happening.

There it is again, jumping to the defence of HFI, sure you’re not a director or maybe you just wanna be.... Concerning that the FB advertisement didn’t have any reference to HUFC and the great job they have done this year with their “Happy Helpers” and looks very much like they are setting the scene to promote HFI GSAP/SAP/GCL??? Thoughts??

Yes I am a wanna be. You got it!
You must be a flat earther with your conspiracy theory from a 2 paragraph story. Make what you want out of it.
Just FYI. I’m not pro or for HFI. I’ve said it before. I am 100% against those who fuel the rumour mill and antagonist behind the scenes. All traits I’m sensing from the dreamer. Get on board with what ever they decide to do..... OR LEAVE

Please, take it. Do us all a favour There you go again Bandit!! Needing to have the last say but always saying very little of any value!! I really sincerely hope you aren’t a director nor have any influence in the association as you state!! Let’s also hope that HUFC is still the home of representative football in 2020 for the girls/ladies and the board and staff (and you!!) focus on developing the association level so that we have more than 3 teams in Div 1 next season!! Maybe I’m Dreaming........

Some good comments dream.
I also hope he or she is not on the board with some of the comments.
From what I have heard associations that try and manage both grass roots and rep football ends in a shamble, just look at our next door neighbours.
I am with you dream, leave reps to Hills United.

At the Clubs meeting on Monday, this issue was discussed and HFI admitted they have applied for 2020 to run GSAP as well as AYL and boys SAP There are not enough girls in the local competition so this will either decimate the comp even more (if there are 2 GSAP options), or lead to a war with Hills Utd and the other clubs about WHO should run GSAP. Ditto for the boys if HFI are succesful. How the hell can we find ourselves in this mess all over again?

Surely decisions as major as this would have been discussed in detail with all member clubs with the board taking direction from the member clubs as should be the case.
It never works and is a disgraceful act if using grassroots members money to help fund rep football.
The association should focus its energy on grass roots football and improving and growing the female participation rates and leave rep football to Hills United. One would think there would be a reason why Hills United were admitted as a foundation member.

Well said Happy - trouble is, certain board members seem to think they can ignore the wishes of the member clubs they represent. Its a case of "we hear you, but we are going to do what we want anyways" as was the case last year and previously around the 2.2 academy issue. I hope everyone realises how critical this situation could be. One wrong move could destroy our local womens comp and seriously harm the junior boys comp too.

Let's hope FNSW don't agree to it. I think HFI GSAP would be a total failure. Why would a girl chose HFI GSAP when it is a dead end with no future once you hit 14. Surely girls will choose Hills United as first option which has at least GCL and possibly NPL2 as the progression. Who has the rights to Bella Vista Public School? Will this be taken from Hills United?

My youngest daughter gave football away because her age is non competitive. Simple and straight to the point, that’s part of the problem. Her dilemma is mirrored by many juniors, not just only girls, the mere fact is that they want to play for points. Losing never hurt anybody and I agree 110% with her.
This continued insanity of non competitive sports and I mean all sports but removing the ladders, goals etc gives oxygen for a private organisation to start a rebel league.
The cost factor to play football is nothing but greed.

Raymond may be on to something.
Having a quick look, the Sydney Hills Football Association (SHFA) is still presently an active organisation.
We were all told that it was closed down.
