Had an interesting message sent to me.
If a club holds a fundraising night such as trivia or even the seniors presentation night and a few of the rank and file have a few too many sherbets which results in a punch on, should the association be able to summons those involved to a GPT hearing?

I suspect the incident would fall under the player or spectator code of conduct at a club event so it would be under the jurisdiction of the Club and/or Association discipline process.

Interestingly, there are no referee appointments across any Saturday games at this stage.

Interestingly, there are no referee appointments across any Saturday games at this stage. They are coming - just delayed apparently.

Was searching on the HF website just now looking for summer football information and pricing and found a judiciary report which provides records of red cards, suspensions, clubs and grades that red cards have been issued for. An interesting read. You can find it on the HF website, then go to the CLUB HQ tab, then the JUDICIARY tab. What does FAFA mean?

Not exactly related to the HFI referee situation, but an interesting video has been produced by the NRL looking at the impact on a referee when they make a mistake: fb.watch/eRBhl7FYE-/ Even if you don't care about the NRL, it's worth watching for an insight into the human side of referees.
