And back on to topic - I see zero chance of normal fields playing this weekend or next weekend - the pitches are just swamps at the moment Blahblah I totally agree. The next fine day we will have is on Sunday which will be far too little far too late for this weekend. With rain also forecast to resume again on Wednesday it is looking grim for the following weekend. Hopefully things will get back to normal after Easter. Irrespective there is no way whole rounds should be getting called off. Ample time to make up rounds with proper planning. It’s not like we in the final weeks of the season. Would be poor from Hills to call off the whole round

I don't think anyone is suggesting that the round will be entirely cancelled at this early stage of the season. There is still plenty of time to play catch up matches. It just makes it inconvenient for everyone at this stage.

Synthetic fields open and games going ahead confirmed. Logic prevails 👏🏽

Well done Hills on getting all the game son synthetic fields on. A few less catch ups to worry about with more rain coming.

Not looking good for this weekend either. No doubt the weekend will be another write-off. Even synthetic pitch matches might be an issue. Frustrating as last week, our home ground was fine to play but the blanket closure of grounds made it impossible.

As we all expected, council have closed all turf fields until at least Monday.
Those playing on synthetic fields will be the lucky ones!

As i drive around the hills it’s good to see that some fields are ready with posts up and lines marked - Arnold Avenue, 3&4 at Bernie, Francesco but still there are many without posts or line marking or both - Gooden, Max Ruddock, Eric Mobbs, Ted Horwood, GH Oval. it’s concerning to see that fields aren’t even ready to be played on. Some say it’s not dry enough to mow, but on the other hand if you don’t mow it then it won’t dry out - might as well mow it.

What’s happening with Winsto FC? Still no posts or line marking at Gooden Reserve! There are games there this weekend. Can’t possibly be too wet. We’ve had a months worth of Sun in 5 days 😊

Well guess what Krusty....the weather forecast is for rain from Thursday right through to next week. Maybe they don't feel any immediate pressure to get on with the job. 🤔

Oracle, The FC is 0-2mm on Thu and 2-8mm on Fri. Is this going to be too much for fields to cope with is it??? Please avoid sensationalising the weather - leave that to channel 9! The association needs to do more with council and clubs to open fields for play. This was one of their selling points when we broke away from Granville ie one LGA to deal with. Cheers

The forcast is for approx. 50% for 5mm or under in other words a few spits if that (except Friday maybe up to 15mm). We will save our season if we play. But remind me what are we gaining if we do not play in rain ?? I really do hope you have a valid argument if replying.
