Sad to hear that Winsto have pulled the pin on the season due to lack of players! I believe they started the season with a 14/15 man squad and have had multiple season ending injuries!
Hope to see you back next year lads 👍🏻 In the Hills comp!

For a simple amateur game with a ball, ground, players ect the encyclopedia of rules makes it far more complicated. You’ve got people on association sub committee that haven’t a clue how to correctly read, interrupt or understand the regulations they enforce. Whichever way the rule is written or otherwise the rationale behind it was to permit no more than 2 underage players participating in a fixture. How one comes to that is irrelevant as long as the primary reasoning behind the rule isn’t breached. Was there any advantage gained by the team that borrowed the players? If so what was that advantage? If a team can only have 2 under age 45s registered in their team then thats a set 2 players for the entire year and the association can make a decision on which division that team should be on based on the set team. If you are allowed to 'draft' in under 45s for every game that would make an unfair advantage / room for teams to take advantage by using different U45s each week to avoid having the maximum games played for a borrowed player. Equate it to allowing an O35 / Div 3 team being allowed to have 2 quality players (that should be playing in O35/1) register for the Div 3 team (not borrow in, rather join their team start of the season) - if they must join the team then theres a chance those two players could swing the team into Div 2 by being awesome. Now imagine if the rule was that an O35 Div 3 team was allowed to draft in 2 players from O35/1 each week and could get around the maximum amount of times a specific individual could be borrowed by borrowing different players.

Hey dog657 I can see why you are so desperate to come back to the Hills comp with no teams from North West Association - I ventured out to see you guys play Epping tonight, half time score was 1-0 your way but Epping should have been leading ! Second half Epping put 7 past you guys , could have been 10. Final score 7-1 to Epping. On a seperate note well done to Marty - his first game back for Epping - well played champ.

What is the final series format in O/45-1's? Has this been confirmed?
Surely in a competition that has been so close they wouldn't have the top 2 straight in the Grand Final.
There are numerous options to have a two week finals series (not one week) such as, ie. Top 4 (1 v 4, 2 v 3) or Top 3 (1 straight to GF, 2 v 3).
What is happening with Winston Hills games? If they are going to use averages at the end of season to determine finals (as all teams won't have played the same amount of games) then those results could stand as all teams don't need to have played each other the same amount of times.

I have been told that the teams have to play each other again. GF wil be 1 vs 2, that's what I hear.
