ange you didn't start a conversation you blamed 16 girls at united for the collapse of the comp.
the bandit said this lets discuss this Clear old mate from Kolts is making it all about him... no surprise there. The entire community apart from his own think he’s a joke anyway.

The entire community apart from his own think he’s a joke anyway. So, there was a 4 team division 1. Far from ideal, but it's what there was and there were competitive games every week. Division 2 was happy. Then..... Kellyville United withdrew. Division 1 comp collapsed as it only had 3 teams. Those 3 teams put into Division 2 who are now unhappy they are getting spanked by superior teams (plus all the chaos with points, ladders, etc). Now, how am I factually wrong?

Cmon ladies and gents - Stan, put your handbag away! Back to the issue.
So where to from here?
Ideas? What incentive/excitement is there for female footballers to play on a Sunday, no crowd around, canteens closed... Play all games female/male on Fri/Sat - depending on grounds - seeing how many competitive girls teams there are they should be able to be catered for on a Saturday. All juniors (boys/girls non-competitive) on a Sunday. Get rid of all clubs who have less than (x) teams - whatever x is, how they were granted entry is a long term joke.

I think the girls need to stay on Sunday. Quite a few of them play Netball on Saturdays and we don't want to have to make them choose between two sports whilst our numbers are so critical. Friday night is unappealing to the "twenty somethings". I think first choice is combine with North West Ladies comp, second choice is combine with Blacktown/Granville. I would do this for all girls and ladies divisions. After 5 or 6 years we might have enough numbers to consider going it alone. The downside is longer drives but I think this is outweighed by having more divisions and hence a smaller range of abilities within each division.

What a great way to (1) wreck the entire u11s down... move them to a Sunday. Genius and (2) reduce the number of clubs as well... wow

So what’s the reason for females playing on a Sunday - because that’s how it’s always been? Maybe we need to start thinking differently! What value does a club with 9 teams (7 of which are Over 35) have in building long term quality to an association? Same thing has happened in other junior sports, where associations have thought short term, let clubs in only for them to fold in 1-3 years. Shortsighted!

I'm a parent of 3 juniors, and I can tell you that the HFI mixed junior numbers would be massively reduced if it was moved to Sundays. As I understand, ladies play on a Sunday because Netball fairly dominates female participation sports, and it plays on Saturdays (& Friday nights). I can't see female football taking on Netball and winning in the player numbers. as for Coolong FC (they're the only one you can be referring to) so what if they have mostly AAM, 35s, 45s teams... they pay their fees like everyone else. Is your problem basically that Coolong & other smaller clubs are taking pitch space that could be instead used for Ladies on a Saturday?

So we’ll see you at Ted Horward #2 on Sun @ 3:00pm watching the AAL in action. Come to the bench and ask the ladies what they want from their competition. As co-coach and parent of 2 in the AAL I have a vested interest in what happens. Tired of same old...people talk a lot and nothing changes then they continue to whinge how bad they have it! And yes I am middle aged - dependent on definition!

I am the coach of a Ladies team we left the Hills 4 years ago and moved to a NWSWF club because we just couldn’t see enough depth to support an enjoyable Comp. Each pre-season I ask the team if they want to move back to the Hills. We play div 2 in NWSWF. We are keen to move back: less travel (most of the team reside between Nothmead/Kellyville/Cherrybrook); Hills Comp has a progressive committee; and the Ladies Comp is soooo close to reaching a viable size. We keep in touch with as many Hills Ladies stakeholders as possible. NWSWF div 1 suffers from same problem as Hills. Although 6 teams, only 4 of the teams are competitive, one of which is Winsto HFI. I believe HFI were offered combined Comp with NWSWF but declined as they felt they had enough teams and momentum to go it alone. We think they jumped the gun, but totally support their vision and enthusiasm. Think they just went a year or two early. A combined Comp has to be the answer. They have demonstrated that a combined Comp works through the Women’s Hills knockout Cup which is open to NWSWF teams.

So, NWSWF have 7 divisions of AAL (plus 3 over 30 divisions) and are still open to combining (apparently) to improve their comp.
HFI currently have 2 divisions. The range of players goes from those who have recently played PL1 in under 17s and PL2 in seniors down to those lacing on a boot for the first time. We must have more divisions to cater for the range of skills and the only solution is combining with another district.
