Any word from the meeting last night? The following is from the minutes of the last CGM: 7. General Business a. All Age Ladies 1 – Kellyville Kolts
Kellyville Kolts – Believe the All Age ladies 1 competition is a farce. They have had 3 quality games this season. Kolts have refunded their portion of the fees to the ladies and recommend HFI do the same, these are for the 3 remaining teams being Kolts, Castle Hill United and Winston Hills. Castle Hill United Support Winston Hills Support The Board will review and respond accordingly at the next General Meeting. Also from the meeting is the following which is obviously not related to this topic: B. FNSW Boundaries
Vargha announced that FNSW have confirmed the boundaries will stay as is (as per our deed of affiliation) meaning North Rocks and Winston Hills will stay in with HFI.

Totally agree with this suggestion, if we are to build a strong competition, we need to do so with the support and confidence of the current girls/ladies and the only way this will happen is if the girls feel valued and respected!! Refunding their fees or better still, giving them complimentary rego for 2020 will go a long way towards showing them that the association is serious about building a strong competition!!

Does this mean I can ask for a refund because I didn’t enjoy my season this year? Us old farts have only played half our games due to injuries and forfeits.
I’m all for the betterment of ladies football. But throwing out refunds to some is a slippery slope. This is where a board needs to make tough decisions

I see on the association website they are seeking a grant of some $200k to run programs for young children in childcare centers. If the grant was won would it not be a good idea to use some of those funds to provide assistance for female registrations, female programs and other initiatives to grow the female participation rates or other initiatives that assist clubs.

So, apply for a grant for Cause A and then spend it on Cause B instead? Really?

oh and well done to the Kolts for leaving out the 4th team, very big of them Kellyville United withdrew from the comp and had a large part to play in both division 1 and 2 ladies being unhappy. A fine is more appropriate than a refund.

But wait.......there's more !! This is also from the minutes of the last meeting:
F. Women’s Town Hall
The Women’s Football Town Hall meeting is scheduled for the 24th July. Location to be changed and communicated to all. This forum is Focussed towards the players and coaches, rather than clubs. We want to know what their experiences have been this year in order to make the best decisions possible. We would like this meeting to be as constructive as possible. Kellyville Kolts – disappointed that the clubs cannot speak at this town hall. Many of the committee are coaches and managers and are the ones who see the issues first hand. HFI to send the agenda for the town hall prior to the Town Hall. This will be sent by Friday. This will include ground rules for the meeting. HFI to communicate to clubs how their ideas for female football can be addressed.

ange idiot...………
This town hall meeting will be kolts v Hfi this was evident on Monday. I don't think anyone else needs to go. this will go nowhere.
Oracle if they stopped talking and listened for once they would have heard that hfi wanted to hear from the player and families not the same BS from the normal. I did this, we did this, I'm the man syndrome that comes from the same people. and they didn't say no one could talk they said there will be guild lines which we all know certain person don't like .

ange re read your statement then, it only needed a 1 word response and for you to blame 16 girls for this debacle proves your knowledge about football.

I think it’s clear a lack of depth is the route of the cause. You can’t blame anyone. Not HFIs fault not the clubs fault.
Whilst the younger age groups will grow and organically and build a strong comp in the future, the only real short term option is a joint competition with a neighbour association. If the clubs aren’t interested in that then don’t complain.
Clear old mate from Kolts is making it all about him... no surprise there. The entire community apart from his own think he’s a joke anyway.
Stan you’re to blame for everything ;-)

To withdraw from a 4 team comp leaving 3 teams to be dropped back to a much weaker division certainly contributed to a lot of people having a worse experience this year. The other teams were/are less than happy with the comp but they did see their commitment to it and the other teams. Do you condone withdrawing mid-comp and upsetting two draws? Certainly the debacle's root cause is with HFI who did not see this coming and who should have sought to combine with another district long before it got to this. See, we can talk about issues without name calling.

I think it was the ladies committee made up by the clubs who were adamant NOT to merge. Backfire.
