To tpop's comment above - when will HFI pull Kenthurst in for their rubbish sideline antics? The head-in-the-sand stance is beyond GDSFA-esque, and needs to be addressed. Only the third PL game I have made this year so not sure if other games have required a 4th official? Clearly the refs acknowledge it, over to you HFI! Wat happened?

Hills football send refs to all club grounds... refs talk about how they will improve. Refs ask feedback from players. Players suggest earlier yellows to avoid serious foul play..... refs confirm this is something they need to enforce more.... weeks follow, nothing changes, Kenthurst play like Auburn and get away with absolute thuggery on the field. Last year they got 3 red cards vs Kolts in one game... they have form yet refs are scared to stamp authority... So I ask this, what the hell was the point of the the hills sending the refs to all our grounds if nothing has changed??? Asking for a mate ...

Ref had an absolute stinker. Interesting how you left out the part about the kolts spectator that threw a beer can at one of the ken players after being sent hmmm

Didn't see last years game KK vs KH, but I also can confirm that Kenthurst's style of play (and spectator group) belong in 'another assoc'. Their behaviour (I'm sure they call it "banter") has been reported twice to the GM, not a thing happened. Their Pres is powerless against this group, watching on as their coach last Saturday abused a young female AR for not letting him make a sub quick enough. Clearly they (HFI) are waiting for something more serious to happen before they act. Can't be long now....

It seems to be relaxed laws around the grounds this weekend.
I heard 3 Winsto players ended up in hospital against north rocks.. but no yellow cards. Can anyone confirm ?

And what’s gender got to do with it?

It shows a huge disparity between the top 2 maybe 3 PL teams and the rest of park football. In addition to a few experienced former rep players there are a few very young players in Kenthurst and Kolts who have played elite football in elite academies their whole childhood years, training several times a week amongst elite players and coaches and in reps NSW PL 1 since u/13. I think 1 or 2 were in A league Youth comp. These guys truly know how to play football, it’s a game of inches for them around quality players alike. Hard to appreciate at park level of course. For whatever reason they are playing park football. Grateful to have them play in the comp and they may stay or choose to go back to reps and get paid like their former team mates. Generally you can’t compare cailibre of teams in comp to Kenthurst and Kolts. I think the comp is just what it is and will be. Conversely, I think we should be grateful teams like glenhaven continue to show up and never say die. Free entertainment for us spectators

Free entertainment for us spectators I'll assume you're taking the p*** mate, as good as kolts are they are nowhere near the standard of other 'elite' park footy sides. They got done easily last year in CoC by a far stronger north shore side and the manly and eastern suburbs comps teams are far stronger than what is on offer in the hills. For the record, the team kolts hammered last night was glenhaven's u18's not their PL side, but having seen the PL table 15-0 wouldnt have been out of the question either against their PL team.

Kolts only got done because they decided to have their end of season celebrations the night before after walking the league. Down 2-1, open goal, ref blows for half time, should have been 2-2 but instead had a player sent off after blowing up. Would have changed the entire outcome of the match.
On another note, hills cup results don’t show much besides the fact that the top premier league squads are miles ahead of everyone else

Conway, you failed to mention your match against Norwest Youth Prems, who up until half time dominated the game and could've been 2 or 3-0 up. Perhaps a stronger link between the Youth and Premier league squads is needed to promote better overall quality in the PL? In other news, looking forward to the Hills Cup game between Kenthurst and Winston Hills tomorrow night!

Crouchy - agree with you and is why in season 1 there was PL1 and PL2. In my opinion this should have been retained and would have been advantageous for all.

Crouch,
100% agree. Although Kolts fielded largely a second string side, that Norwest Youth team would beat a lot of prems teams. They were absolute quality for their age and are by far the best youth team there is. PYL has been a bit of a mess. There is no direct link to Prems and the gap in quality is clear. PL1 and PL2 should have stayed and perhaps the league would have been better advices adding some rules to the squads allowed in (example... X amount of certain age players and so Forth)

[ The result still hurts the Kolts. I hear there were no excuses but having a lack of self control the night before, which was their club presentation night only made that game 10 times harder than it ought to have been. playing with 10 men for hour certainly didn’t help either. Kolts would have gone deep otherwise
