There’s a lot of unsubstantiated accusations flying around. Easy to do on social media. If you have an issue make a formal complaint to a club. Not here. I’m removing all posts about this and closing this thread. Don’t try and start it somewhere else. Congratulations to comp winners.

before Oake rudely interrupted 😂....the first half of GF was very entertaining with Winston scoring first within minutes, lots of intensity, class goals and fluid play and terrific goal keeping. The second half was a complete opposite spectacle, scrappy plays, no strategy and the bush pigs sending an early message as clear winners by substituting their 3 forwards the “Kenthurst Trio”.
Fast forward, does any one out there agree that PL should not play a Charity game against Hills Brumbies. In my opinion the PL should commence 2020 with credibility. Every year the charity game is promoted as being the “All Stars” of PL V Hills Brumbies. The truth of the matter is that there are no All Stars selected in the team only to be smashed by some very embarrassing score line. Are there players in PL that can match Hills Brumbies ? Definitely and a few of better quality. Why are they not selected ? I think the quality PL players are simply not prepared to participate in such a game unless at the very least they know that a true ALLSTARS team is selected.

I think each club was asked to send their best 3 players. Some clubs did, some clubs didn’t..

I don't believe clubs have any time nor interest in sorting out who they think are the best three players from their PL squad for a friendly match, if they have one.
Whilst i reckon the concept is OK of having a season friendly between an association PL team and a HU NPL team, there will always be a large gap between these teams ability and i would think the most logical solution was to have each season's premiership winning first grade PL team who represent HFI in CoC play the HU NPL team in each season's friendly.
They would still not be expected to win but would think the match would be more competitive and a better spectacle for the crowd.

I agree Chugar. A team that plays together regularly is going to be more competitive than a team thrown together from several clubs in a hotch potch manner. They will have better combinations & understanding between players. Sounds like a good suggestion to me.

The Manly Football Association has long been known for being one of the strongest associations in the state, if not the country.
They manage themselves very professionally and have a very good competition and development programs and probably reckon they are the benchmark in my opinion.
