Funny enough incidents in Granville has reduced.
They have a Zero tolerance in place. Already one side has been sent home.
Good and bad everywhere. No need to keep bagging Granville, you make it out as Hills will be incident free.
Ideally in a perfect world incident free in all associations would be great, you can only hope.
Good luck to both associations

Get over yourself with all the Granville rubbish. It is FACT that the Club with the worst discipline record prior to the GDSA/Hills split was St Michaels, it is also FACT that while we all suggest the GD Board was ineffective in dealing with discipline the previous Judiciary chair at GD was from a Hills Club so for all the bitching and carry on, to think discipline is only going to be a problem in one geographic area is dumb beyond belief. It is everywhere.

It is everywhere. I agree that people tend to misbehave in equal proportions, no matter where they are. Having been associated with GDSFA for over 20 years, and having served on multiple judiciaries I am afraid your FACT about St Michael's is nonsense. They were low to mid-range in terms of offenses. Please don't come back with 'they were/they weren't' argument. You are a guest here and not even a registered user, so your opinion doesn't carry a lot of weight. GDSFA judiciary was perceived as weak, and that was one of about 100 reasons we started this. But it was just one, and things change, so lets forget what was, and just focus on what is, and what we can make to improve things here.

Granville - zero tolerance doesn't work and there have been times where it has been used and innocent parties have been caught up in it and there have been other times where zero tolerance was used and those involved appealed to FNSW and the decision was overturned and the "alleged guilty parties" were reinstated.
Any reasonable person will look at the facts and deal only with the details of each incident...

Getting a bit sick of the poor sideline behaviour. HFI and clubs all communicating need for respect, yet these past 2 weeks have been shocking. 13/3 at Francesco Oval yesterday - Disgusting , This is kids park football FFS - Pull your heads in!

Then do something productive and proactive and ask your club to communicate with their Compsec. How do you expect a club to do something if they don't know about it?

Oake
Incidents are being reported, being followed up and mostly dealt with. the clubs are 100% behind cleaning up, the players are getting much better - unfortunately some of the coaches and spectators are still not 'getting it'

And they never will, which is why we have to stay proactive and report it. Bystanders don't help, we are all responsible for our actions, and that includes reporting stuff and not just complaining on social media. Ratbags are always around, and the non-ratbags are responsible if they don't report it.

If you have an issue anytime, report it and it will be dealt with. It would be great to see similar coverage elsewhere. Norwest are proactive in this area and showing Respect to referees, ARs and volunteers is paramount. Social media should not be the first port of call and only leads to rumour and innuendo. When posting make sure your facts are right. But before posting contact the club involved and they will be only too willing to follow up. Please remember committee members are all volunteers putting in hours and hours of community service for the betterment of our great game. All clubs need to work together with the Respect message and any club who thinks they don't have an issue isn't realistic.

Does anyone know how we can pass on positive feedback on referee performances?
We had without doubt the best referee all season yesterday afternoon. Controlled the game well and set a standard early which he kept up all game.
With all the negative talk from last week just thought it would be good to acknowledge a job done well by an individual.

You could contact the Hills Association directly or you could go via your own club through the Club Secretary, either way I am sure that they would get the message. Great to get some positive feedback regarding referees as people seem to be too hasty to criticise yet hesitant to praise. Nice work happysausage.
