Well another game day for the Hillsbillies this time at WSW training grounds Rooty Hill. With WSW backing this was the official launch of OASIS Masters Football Association. Also the official announcement of the June Long weekend WSW tournament for O/60, O/65 men's and O/50 Women's. On Saturday 12 February 6 x O/60, 2 x O/65 men's and 2 O/50's women's teams played. The Hillsbillies had O/60 and O/65 teams play also the women's were mostly Hills players and have agreed to become the Hillsjillies. So we now have 3 teams representing the Hills playing real football full field running games. Have a look at our website to see all the weekend fun that was had. So Men over 60 and women over 50 join us and start to enjoy football again, it's what you want not what is being offered by FNSW or Associations.

Today the Hillsbillies had a game against Balmain FC O/60, first game for months and we went down 1-4 a good spirited friendly fun game. The Aust Masters in Perth Hillsbillies had to with draw through lack of players wanting to go.
5 of the team are still going and playing with the South Coast Rhinos in the O/55 / O/60 Div. Anyone 58 years or older can join us in future games, Galas and Tournaments we are also looking at OS Tournaments to play in as well.
June Sydney Football Masters Tournament 11-13 at WSW training grounds Rooty Hill, Hillsbillies will have O/60, O/65 and a O/50 Ladies team. September Gala will be at the Hunter Valley. I think its flogging a dead horse - not an old one - and they very much seem to be fighting for their footballing lives (and praise to them I say)

does flogging a old horse come to mind with this? Yes it dose Stan! in a survey we did we asked the question " when you get to 60 years of age what would you like do with your football playing":-
A) retire 10% B) play Walking Football 5% C) play 7 a side 1/2 field running 15% D) play O/60 11 v 11 full field running 60% E) stay playing O/45 10%
So Stan who is flogging a dead horse? So what will you do when you get to 60? you could be positive and push for the Hills to help the Hillsbillies with O/60 games.

Perth Australian Masters has just finished. 5 Hillsbillies players joined the South Coast Rhinos O/55 team as the Hillsbillies O/60 team that was to go lost a lot of players due to WA Gov Covid stance. 6 one hour games in 4 days, we made the final but it was the team with less injuries that won Balmain 0-3. We beat them 5-1 during the rounds. A silver medal for 5 Hills players!!! The Hillsbillies have more games coming up if you want to join and it will not affect your membership of a club in the Hills comp. June Sydney Football Masters Tournament 11-13 at WSW training grounds Rooty Hill, Hillsbillies will have O/60, O/65 and a O/50 Ladies team. September Gala will be at the Hunter Valley. baulko ill probably get a team together and probably be better then the team that's out there, and you will forfeit because 1 team is better then the other. so ill probably coach or go watch my kids play or even grandkids play
