oldandbroken73 - When you punch the ground you damage the metacarpels and your knuckles not your shoulder blade! Nope. Playing cricket 6 odd years ago I tried to field a ball running away from me, fell forward onto my straightened arm (similar motion to punching the ground) and popped my rotator cuff (shoulder socket). Hand / Wrist everything fine except my shoulder. Hopefully not a long term injury! I don't think that this is the case. These are 2 separate circumstances. When you punch something you: bend your elbow and send your fist forward. I have never seen anyone at all punch someone or something with a straightened arm. It's called Boxer's Fracture: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxer%27s_fracture when you punch something your metacarpels break. Boxers usually punch people with their arms bent not straight.

Are you seriously debating technique in punching the ground??? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA must have a lot of decisions not going your way in games. My point was that if he had punched the ground the damage to his body would not have been exclusively to his knuckles / hand (which is what you said). I have no idea whether or not he punched the ground or not. You can't make that decision as a result of the injury though. If he had punched the ground then he could very well have damaged any part of his hand / arm / shoulder.

North Rocks red 4 - Glenhaven 1 Good game with non official ref doing a good job. Both teams gave it their all for what can be described as a tight contest despite the score. Difference being 2 early goals to North Rocks. Glenhaven pushed hard in the 2nd half and made sure the Rocks defenders earned their money.

Norwest 2 - Baulko Red 1. Cracking game from Baulko and they definitely deserved at least a point today. Cracking game, played in fantastic spirits. Norwest got a goal after about 10mins, then Baulko had a break and their forward slotted the goal of the game of his wrong foot from 18yards out to make it 1-1. Second half was a really tight contest with Baulko having most of the possession. We got a goal from some good ball movement. Baulko kept fighting to the end and almost got another goal on a few occasions.

Rouse hill 4-0 over Rangers. Good clean game, Rangers were a good bunch and that made for an enjoyable match. Rams were lucky with a dodgy offside goal so could have been closer shoreline.

Norwest with the bare XI for 50 minutes putting in a good effort to beat North Rocks Blue 3-1. I wasn't there, but by all reports it was played in great spirits.

Do Glenhaven have a few injuries atm? North Rocks Red & Rams are both great teams, but we thought Glenhaven were great considering when we played them they were also missing a few of there good players
