Yeah, I meant more it would seem (but I am only guessing) that it would be extraordinary that that forum was taken down due to some unsupervised posts, when it saw way worse stuff over the years (as you point out).
I mean that forum survived when the original Hills breakaway away was being talked about.
Now, as soon as you start seeing club senior members (I would guess at least some of them would be longstanding members) start talking about the death of the association and rumours of clubs pulling out that the forum then goes down.
My point more was how would the Association force the forum to shut down anyway, its not even under the guidelines etc of FNSW or GDSFA is it? What would happen if Hills Football or FNSW contact proboards and told them to take down this forum? Would the website have to comply? Anyway sorry I know going off a tangent, just something that amazes me.

I can only assume, (as I have never set up a proboards forum or been the administrator of one), that if the Forum Rules are not being adhered to & supervised properly & the site goes a bit rogue that leaves them open to complaints & potential closure. Remember there can be legal consequences as outlined in the Forum Rules. Maybe Oake knows more about this topic as a Forum Administrator.

One thing is for certain........I am sure that Raymond Reddington will have a darn good conspiracy theory to explain the closure of the Granville Forum !!

Pretty sure Hills only want Pendle Hill to come over. Toongabbie have already approached Blacktown and that looks likely along with Greystanes. Hills are happy with the clubs that they already have and with PH they get a club with 4 fields and could use them to help with overflow games. Pendle Hill board is heavily biased towards Granville with some old heads having previous links there but the members are not happy and it will be an interesting AGM (like most clubs) this year I find it interesting that you suggest that Hills only want PH, what would this be based on? The Hills association is strong, GDSFA, has issues, which is a shame as most of us have grown up there, BUT, let us not forget, the most vocal negative person on the old forum was a prominent PH figure and board member. The players have already spoken with their feet moving to Winsto and Baulko over the last few few years. Not sure what PH really have to offer to Hills.

As an aside, surely Old Windsor Rd would be the boundary as a major arterial road, when you look at basic LGA’s, with the exception that WH is part of Parra Council, PH would be part of Blacktown. WH are currently included as they are on the Eastern side of Old Windsor Rd.

Hills had already made an approach to PH last year and PH committee debated the move but decided to stay for the Girls comp with Blacktown. There are several reasons Hills would want PH to join and 1 is the availability of 4 grounds to be used for overflow matches (god knows we could sue some new grounds) another is the quantity and quality of PH ladies teams that would assist on growing Hills Ladies comps.
You are correct Shaba that a lot of teams have already fled to other clubs but a lot would go back to PH if they were allowed to join Hills.
And on your question of Local GA's Pendle Hill is in the Parra LGA along with WH & North Rocks

Not sure what PH really have to offer to Hills. I remember PH having a strong Prems squad but I dont think they have recently had one They had two squads in AA5 (which is the highest level of 'normal' football) - They also had a team in Super League last year and won that comp - What is the GDSFA Super League? Big pool of players they really should have a prems squad

With all due respect guys, who cares if it has bern pulled down, don’t look back, look forward, we have a great comp that will only get better, go Hills! I only found it so interesting because it was the voice of the people, not the usual same spouting from Clubs or the Association that everything was ok and if there was trouble it had been dealt with etc I.e. I only found out about the Prems final being abandoned due to a pitch invasion as well as the Semi Final in the reserves (or AA5 i cant remember) - You wont hear anything about this on the Association media outlet or the clubs media outlets etc. If you hadn't seen it there you wouldn't even know it had happened, The concern is EXACTLY looking forward, i.e. the masses have been silenced there now at Granville, the same could happen to us. It most certainly seems that the higher powers there were not happy about the problems being talked about in an open forum and have shut it down God now I sound like Raymond...... or maybe I am Raymond!

We have no association with Hills. This is a private blog I started and they have no influence or control over it. The same applies to the other blog. My guess is the mods got tired of it for whatever reason. When I get tired I’ll hand over control so I’m always looking for others to share the responsibility. My understanding is there were 2 grand finals and a semi that were contentious. I could be wrong. Meanwhile as the immortal Jeff French said: ‘I love youse all!’

You are correct Oake 3 abandoned matches in the finals that will spell the end for Granville. But we must not forget Hills had an abandoned Semi between KV & KVU in the under 17's. players/coaches/parents all invaded the pitch.
The best thing is I would expect Hills will deal with the perpetrators in the right manner and lengthy suspension should follow. time will tell as influential KVU board members were in attendance. what type of report they write will be interesting
anyway good riddance to the scumbags who have wrecked Granville and hopefully they don't pop up playing in Hills for other clubs

Big pool of players they really should have a prems squad Pendle Hill is only a shadow of it's former self. They have lost a large number of players, particularly to neighbouring Hills Association clubs, where Winston Hills has been a major beneficiary. The future is not looking bright for Pendo if something doesn't change soon. It's sad to see the demise of such a great club.

The U14s also had 2 abandoned matches during the season and there was a common team across both games
The Hills Association needs to deal with these issues properly otherwise the association will lose players and end up in the same situation Granville now faces

Plenty of positive stuff came from the forum especially in our Premier League section. It led to ideas being sent through to Granville and the competition having a significant amount of interest. Sad to see it go but not surprised with all the idiots who joined it during the final week...
Will miss the banter on there.
