After last week's performance by some clubs in the Granville Association , more than 10 clubs are reviewing their legitimate position and general meetings are been held to decide their future. Clubs are looking at moving to the Hills association , Southern Districts and Gladesvilee Hornsby - where this will end I am sure time will tell. The GDSFA unofficial forum has already been taken down......... more to come

which teams are likely to come to hills If I had to guess, Toonie and Pendo. Geographically they are the two closest.

My understanding is PH have been wanting to move, however FNSW and GDSFA have stood in the way. There was talk of moving to HFA for the 2020 season, and if that didn't work out, BDSFA

Any club wanting to leave GDSFA would be more likely to go to either Blacktown or Bankstown Associations in order to boost their numbers. I think that a move to the Hills Association would be highly unlikely.

I think Blacktown would be a likely beneficiary (if that's the right word!). The Granville and Blacktown women's comps already work together.

Cant see any of the GDSFA clubs being allowed to go to another association.

Ermington, Newington, Rydalmere and Dundas could move to North West Sydney and boost their numbers. Maybe that would open up WPHC FC to join Hills.

Blacktown and Granville already have some cross competition so would make sense they would be the first association clubs would move to

Pretty sure Hills only want Pendle Hill to come over. Toongabbie have already approached Blacktown and that looks likely along with Greystanes. Hills are happy with the clubs that they already have and with PH they get a club with 4 fields and could use them to help with overflow games.
Pendle Hill board is heavily biased towards Granville with some old heads having previous links there but the members are not happy and it will be an interesting AGM (like most clubs) this year

Its astonishing that the public / unofficial forum has been taken down, how on earth can that happen?
I was watching that forum closely after hearing about all the abandoned games / violence they had at the end of the season. There are a lot of contributors to that site that have been posting for a long time and talk common sense (theres also an awful lot who do the opposite). It was always a good place to hear from people boots on the ground stuck trying to deal with the association and all of its issues.
I'm too scared to post it here in case this forum gets taken down!

I was also keeping an eye on events happening in Granville leading up to the end of the season. I also agree that they had some very good forum members who lifted the tone of the site. However, the big problem was a lack of supervision by the moderators which allowed a small minority of contributors to degrade the standards which others had set. I don't think you have to worry too much about this forum as Oake & his helpers have ensured that this is a well run site & they keep on top of any potential problems.
