Well it's official, if we sign up to the virus App we get to play maybe June or July, OK Raymond Reddington.........what conspiracy theories do you have regarding the government's new COVID -19 App ? Is it Big Brother to the nth degree ? Where will it stop ? What will happen to the App when everything returns to normal ? So many questions.

I think the App is fine, data protected by law, no issues for me. As for when the competitions are to be given the green light, maybe ask the selected few who have working on this with the 3 FNSW staffers in recent weeks Not many associations are privy to what is going on, I can assure you of that.

Football West (WA) resumed limited football activities from yesterday and SA start next Monday. Looking promising for a start on some basic stuff in the next few weeks. No contact, just skills, passing and fitness, plus groups of 10 or less as a starting point.

Manly Warringah Football Association has provided a useful news update on their website dated yesterday and appears to be the most up to date info seen. On the link below. One would think the same will apply for all associations although different local council areas may allow season extensions and some may not. www.mwfa.com.au/2020/05/5th-may-2020-covid-19-update/

Special General Meeting called by Kellyville Kolts & Castle Hill United.
There have been four motions raised by Kellyville Kolts & Castle Hill United.
1. COVID-19 Task Force A motion be passed that the COVID-19 Task Force sanctioned by the HFI Board, without member approval, cease operation and be disbanded immediately until such time it is agreed by the members to be deemed necessary with an agreed approach.
Response from the Board: The board as a whole agree that this group has done a great job in a short period of time. The board has acted in its powers (clause 23.1) and believe this committee should continue. The committee was established to help the cubs, community and council get back to football in the safest possible manner. Further, on the 6th April, an invitation was sent to all clubs seeking a representative from each club to take part with the committee. To date only four (4) clubs have responded with a committee representative. 2. Annual General Meeting A motion be passed that the Annual General Meeting is to proceed as planned without deferral as prescribed by the HFI Board.
Response from the Board: The board feel it would not be a wise decision to hold an AGM given the current circumstances faced. Further, the NSW Department of Fair Trading have allowed all incorporated associations to postpone their scheduled AGMs. HFI applied for an extension and subsequently received this. The board wished to continue with the AGM in August 2020. To hold an AGM during this period, we would have to invest in a quality online polling product that is suitable for the standards of AGM and director voting etc. 3. Workforce Restructure A motion be passed that all HFI staff be stood down from duties immediately to preserve member funds with the exception of the General Manager and the Competitions Manager who will be reduced to 50% salary under further notice.
Response from the Board: The board has set levers for staffing cut backs. Since this epidemic started, all casual employees were immediately advised they would be no longer required and our permanent part time employee was let go. Since, all staff have taken a 20% pay cut, then a 40% pay cut from May 1. Further, more cuts had been identified and agreed on, however with respect to the staff, were not published. Since these decisions were made, the Federal Government announced the “Job Keeper” stimulus package that entitles approved employers a $1,500 per fortnight payment for all eligible staff. With this payment, and staff on 60% wages, all will become “cost neutral” to the association. In total, over 60% of Hills Footballs staff have been stood down since this crisis took effect. 4. Season Fees A motion be passed that no club will pay 50% fees to HFI as requested, until such time that all expenses incurred to date are presented and verified, cascading fees and charges known, refund values have been determined and these have been agreed and supported by the members.
Response from the Board: As discussed with club Presidents on Friday the 17th April, FNSW has provided more clarity around their fees (should we not play any football this year). This now gives us greater ability to work out Hills Footballs finances and then provide accurate figures to all clubs. We are aiming to have these out by the early week and discuss via another Presidents meeting.

Typical of these clubs believing that they are more important than other members and thinking that they can dictate football in the Hills. I wonder who is the little green goblin behind this??

Announced today... community sport in step 2... timing up to state premiers...
The PM said individual states will "copy and paste" to suit their own environments, restrictions will be lifted in this order:
1. Greater connection with friends and family: This step will allow gatherings of up to 10 people and five guests in your own home. Lap swimmers will be allowed back in pools. Boot camps allowed back on in parks. Retail and small cafes will reopen. Interstate travel will start again. Funerals will be allowed 30 people and weddings will be allowed 10 people.
2. Larger gatherings: Step two will allow gatherings of up to 20 people, including cinemas and galleries. Other openings include community sport, beauty parlours and barre classes (for example).
3. Pubs and clubs reopen: Gatherings of up to 100 people will be allowed. Most workers back at their workplace. Pubs and clubs will reopen. Interstate travel will resume totally.
