The Finals are due to start next week...... so post your results here for others to see........ or just discuss the outcomes of those results. Good luck to all.

Well done to all the teams who are 2018 Premiers... It's great that Hills Football has aligned with the rest of the football world to recognize that first past the post after the end of the competition are deemed to be the Premiers (not minor premiers)... Those who go on and win the finals series are deemed to be the grand final winners...
Good luck to those teams who are moving on and playing in the finals series...

Well said RedCard......endorse your sentiments completely.
A word of advice for teams participating in the Finals Series.......make sure that your ID cards are all in order for players, coaches & managers as they will be inspected thoroughly for all games & action will be taken for any discrepancies. Don't jeopardise your chances.

Would love to keep everyone updated with final scores. Petty our sport doesn't play finals till U12's. How old was Daniel Arzani again? Probably played more non competitive, than competitive football heading into the World Cup this year.
On a good note at least we will get to watch my daughters netball finals series with football finishing 1st week of August???

In case people are not aware of this, in particular the U/12s who are playing competitive for the first time -
8.2.8.3. If in any game of the Championship Competition the score at the end of full time is drawn then ten (10) minutes each way will be played. If at the end of extra time the score is still drawn then a penalty shoot-out will occur

I remember the dreaded corners as well. It was an awful experiment that thankfully only lasted for a short time. Penalties are not ideal but I would take penalties over corners any day.

Some talk that for the first 2 weeks (non GF games) higher ranking team goes through at the end of normal time
Not much scope or ET and Pens with the time between kick-offs as scheduled

The term Championship Competition refers to all games in the Finals Series ie, Semis, Finals & Grand Finals. In the past my recollection was that "Golden Goal" applied in extra time ie, the team to score first in extra time was declared the winner. If everything was still all locked up at the end of extra time then a penalty shoot-out would occur. Redcard would have a good idea of the current details as he is obviously a referee & should be 100% up to date on these matters.
