So picture this, at the start of the season you have a bunch of blokes rock up to training. Who don’t get paid, who all work jobs & have other commitments. They aren’t like npl players who are playing purely for a paycheck. They’re there for the love of the game. To voluntarily rock up to training mostly 2 nights a week then put a Saturday aside every week for 4-5 months. They train hard, enjoy beers, ride the ups & downs of the seasons with their mates, all in hope of lifting the shield on grand final day. Regardless if you’re as useless as Winston hills or as good as the minor premiers, the end goal is to win the final & enjoy some beers with your mates.
Now imagine being hills football and being told by football nsw that the lights go off at 10pm. Hills football shrug it off as if nothing was said, schedule 6 games on the same field. Completely disregarding the fact that the premier league ( the most “prestige” competition ) may get called off due to a lighting outage. All these boys, especially the two teams in the finals on the day have worked hard for 8 months of the year- all to be thrown away by hills footballs incompetency.
When is somebody going to be held accountable for this from hills football? This is absurd and our hills premier league will always be nothing short of a joke now. It’s Going viral on Facebook. Our league has some of the most talented park footballers who could easily walk back into npl if they wanted too. Now we’re nothing short of a meme.
Somebody needs to be held accountable

as Geoff Toovey said there needs to be an investigation!!! HFI don’t do investigations that well at all. Last one was with the CHUFC ex President and that finished with Non Disclosure Agreement being signed by anyone that had a wiff of the matter at hand. HFI investigating HFI, yep that will work well.

Investigate what -that the lights had to be turned out at 10pm? Let’s not over-egg the pudding here HFI didn’t cover themselves in glory, but an investigation seems a bit much
We all know what happened - everything that could go wrong did go wrong - was a low chance possibility

I’ll be surprised if there is more than 5 teams in the prems comp next year. Congrats hill football for making the competition a joke

From what I am hearing after being OS for a while, there is at least the same amount of squads for 2024 as there was for 2023 with the possibility of another two squads.
Not sure why some say squads are dead but no doubt this is from the silly rumour mill.

Kenthurst first time in their history are having trials, no many sides in there club, but have big money and trying to get players to switch clubs.A lot of the old boys are moving on. Rockets only have 20 players. Norwest struggling to fill their squad with their striker on good money at the Ponds now. Even some players have moved to Winsto. Winsto have lost 6 first graders. Kolts and United are full Bella Vista still needing players. Coptic have nominated but will pull out after 2 rounds as usual. Rams are unknown but the big money coach gone to NPL Kellyville United gone so where have their players gone? Still unknown and HFI won't listen to what the clubs want.
