No... the Winsto team from 45/3s last year finished first... they wouldnt have gone down... i think the Winsto team than finished first and played in the GF is still in the bottom division... maybe macduff knows more?

This yers Winsto 45/1 are last years 45/2 Grand Finalists. I'm guessing the two Winsto sides in 45/2 this season are our 45/3 and 45/4 premiers from last season and our 45/3 side this season is a new side that has come up from 35/1 or NPL 2 (can't remember exactly)

Change to 45/1
CHU now chasing trophies in 45/2 and replaced by Winsto (45/3 losing GF last season).

Change to 45/1 CHU now chasing trophies in 45/2 and replaced by Winsto (45/3 losing GF last season). I've never seen a club so favorably treated in all my days... happens every year... so now what? 2 x Winsto teams in div 1? 0 x CHU teams in div 1? 2 x CHU teams in div 2? so all the guys that played in CHUs div 1 team just vanished? are HFA checking FFA numbers? and the CHU team that smashed Winsto in the 45/3 GF get stay where they are? seriously? what a load of rubbish!

The bylaws need to be changed. Teams that finish first and win the GF get promoted. If it’s the same team then It’s 1 team. If different then 2 teams.
I’m not entirely sure HFI are being objective when it comes to grading CHU, for reasons everyone knows.

The Weeknd - The team that played in the CHU Div 1 team last year did vanish - The team that finished 2nd last in Div 2 last year and has lost 6 players (leaving them with 15) is still in Div 2 - The team that won the Div 3 GF is now up in Div 2
Promotion and relegation working as it should, I'd say...

Technically speaking there was no div 1 in the hills last year.
So for last year div 2 = div 1 div 3 = div 2 div 4 = div 3
So the GF winning CHU div 3(2) team should be promoted to div 1... the Winsto team they thrashed in the GF is in 45/1s... doesn't pass the pub test.
HFI have got this one completely wrong, sorry.
As for the CHU div 2 team with only 15 players... I'm sure the lost-boys of CHU div 1 will suddenly reappear in this team just in time for round 1 (or should i say round 5, after the regrades) This team should have stayed in 45/1s... another one HFI has got wrong

The Winsto side that has been pushed up from 45/2 (lost GF 45/3 GF last year to CHU) to 45/1 are considering pulling the pin on the season.

If that happens you’d think HFI would turn Div 1 and 2 into 8 team comps by pushing one of the CHU teams up and the Rouse Hill team from last years 45/2s. Or is that too logical for HFI to consider?

Both teams from 45/3s GF should be in Div 1 - no question about it.
It would appear that some teams think they have a right to just cruise through to the GF every year!

Both teams from 45/3s GF should be in Div 1 - no question about it. It would appear that some teams think they have a right to just cruise through to the GF every year! This is funny yet so accurate. The Winsto Bears 45/3’s last year scraped to win every game they could and only a few upsets in the last round saw them crowned Premiers. Two losses would have seen them miss the finals, that’s how tight it was. The Castle Hill 2’s who couldn’t field a full team and subsequently dropped down to 3’s suddenly had 17 players every week once they were in 3’s and went on to win a one sided GF 5-2. Last years Bears 45/3’s team have lost a couple of their best players and will struggle to field a half competitive team in 1’s this year, hence them considering pulling the pin. They’ve got 3 blokes that are 49 and the rest are over 50, and a couple over 60. Meanwhile last years GF winning Castle Hill side get graded in 2’s. 7 team 45/1’s, 10 team 45/2’s and 45/3’s. Last years Winsto 2’s and 3’s both in Div 1 and Castle Hill have 2 x 45/2’s including the GF winning “3’s”. Sorry, but something doesn’t add up here….

Fatboy, it's obviously not what you know its who you know!!!! You guys will certainly know you are in 45/1 first up, playing against the only actual 45/1 side in the comp. Looking forward to renewing an old rivalry from Granville days with you guys though.

the registration cutoff is June 30. so teams can start a comp short on players, get smashed and regraded after 4 rounds, which is at the end of April, then they have May/June to register as many as they like for the rest of the comp and the finals. i believe this is what the CHU 45/3 team did last year (there were many new faces in the GF) and potentially what the two CHU 45/2s will do this year.
