This was a quality final and one for the ages, went down to the wire and one of the best AAM finals seen for a while, a number on lookers also agreed. Well done to Coolong and commiserations to Coptic, all players deserve praise for making this a real spectacle and one il remember for a while as an onlooker from another club and committee member. I hope these 2 sides stick around next season and see them go at it again.

It was a game that was enjoyable to be a part of! Unfortunately we aren’t sure whether we will be returning next year due to a few things that we weren’t overly happy with throughout the year.. i.e not having officials for majority of the games. However, all in all it was a decent year with some competitive football played! Does anyone know if there is any footage of this final?

Penalty shootout too? Heard a few people talking about the game and big crowd it seemed too, a shame that I missed it. Well done to Coolong - not the typical Coolong side but none the less a very good side at that wherever they came from or decide to go

Perhaps some reflection on why there are so few referees this year would help understand why you didn't get officials during the season. Disagreeing with just about every decision, surrounding the ref with multiple players dishing out abuse to the ref when a decision didn't go their way, running 40 yards from the 6 yard box to get involved - all a huge part of this GF and reasons why refs have had enough.

It’s our first year in the hills comp so I’d disagree with you there.. it was constant from the beginning of the year the inconsistency of there being refs and not. I do agree that it did get heated at times but I don’t think that’s enough for there to not be any officials assigned. Majority of the time there were no one running the lines as well which was half the reason why there were so many wrong decisions. Not having a go at anyone - just speaking my mind on the year. It was a competitive competition so it’s kind of expected for some people to get heated but at the end of the game the officials were always congratulated on the games they had when they were there
