Agree this should be called AAM1 - other districts do it and is a fair presumption of the actual division. Many teams in the past have thought it was Div 3 and have by mistake have entered not realising its technically Div 1 ( on the same level as Prem ressies perhaps ) Its been a gripe for many years for a number of new teams, clubs, players etc

Just a shoutout to the Coptic boys - not only did they dominate us last weekend in our fierce top of the table clash, but they were great sports by backing us up in our red card dispute with the referee (a false claim that one of our players punched one of their players).
While we didn’t get the result we hoped for regarding the suspension (apparently refs can blatantly make up things and it’s impossible to disprove them), the great sportsmanship from Coptic is genuinely appreciated.

Well that’s a wrap. That’ll have to go down as one of the most competitive comps for a number of years, resulting in a jam packed top 6 where results came down to the final day to determine semis. It feels cruel for north rocks / knights to miss out on a final series between the top 6, but Mother Nature had her say to limit it to a 4 team series. Here’s my wrap up: >Coptic - they are where norwest red was 2 years ago, on fire and with enough depth and quality to move back to prems 1st grade if they feel like it. Deserved champs. >Coolong blue - young and energetic kids. Any team who cops that sort of abuse from their coach every week and still plays good football and has a good attitude on the pitch deserves a medal in my books. Had about 10 catch up games over the past month, so will be going into finals as fit as a fiddle. >Coolong red and Rams - both teams appear to have drank from the fountain of youth, winding back the clocks to their prems heyday and looking fitter than their age probably suggests they should be. All the smarts and qualities of good, tough football teams. >Knights - bottlers. I had them pinned as the best all round team, until they went and won 0 of their last 5 matches and dropped from 2nd to 5th by the last day. Good footballers, and any other year they would have walked into the top 4. >Rocks - some nice, talented kids in this team, often let down by their mouthy teammates. Lost a few key players this year, as they didn’t seem as good as previous years (despite maturing), but can mix it with all the big teams and probably would have done well in a knockout finals series. >Winsto x 2 / RSL - either they were way too glass half full, or fell victim to thinking 3s was an actual third division rather than top div of the mens. Nice blokes, some talent, but not enough depth there to prevent them from becoming punching bags for the season. >Norwest - sad to see this team fold. Always provided the best, tough derbies. Heard some of their best players ditched them to join lower div teams (glory hunters), leaving the rest of them to try to string a bare 11 on saturdays. RIP.
Tips this weekend - I have none. Any of these teams can win on any given day. This’ll be a cracker of a finals series.

Coolong Red (the old boys) got up over the NPL kids, heard that 2 or 3 kids from coolong blue were playing NPL the week before. What do you expect with a coach like that. Should be a cracker of a grand final!!!

I would have thought the NPL kids could go all the way, some decent players in that bunch> looking forward to the grand final, Coptic looking good but Coolong red seem to be the dark horse especially after that win last week.
