Baulko Blue 6 points from the weekend without kicking a ball... the bye & forfeit against Hills Knights (would've been nice to have known in advance obviously a miscommunication but a good excuse for a few beers) .... Minor Premiership settled.
Semi Final Week 1: Baulko Blue vs Rams Norwest vs Winsto
Tips to follow once the market settles

Hard to forfeit the Bye, but we'll give it a go! You probably would have lost the Bye anyway.

Here is my breakdown of the Top 4 teams:
BH: By far and away the best and most consistent team in the competition only dropping 5 points all season. Play the game hard and pressure opposition into making mistakes which they capitalise from more times than not. Solid at the back, fast midfielders that run all day and pace up front make them a difficult team to beat. They would be very confident in finally getting the right result come Grand Final day. Strength: Fitness, fitness, fitness Weakness: Have a habit of bottling it at this time of year
RH: Started the season slowly, however they have found their feet as the season has gone on. Issues during the year scoring goals and dropped a number of points due to draws etc. If they can get their scoring boots on, will be confident that they would be able to hold opposition teams out. Only team to beat BH during season so this must give them confidence for this weekend. Strength: Defense Weakness: Goals FOR worst of the top 4 teams
WH: Have had an up and down year with some great wins followed by losses to teams you would not of expected. Like BH, like to play the game hard and have the fitness to allow them to close down opposition teams. Can be a little suspect at the back if your team has pacey forwards. Best dead ball team in the competition and have some tall timber at the back that like to come forward for any set piece opportunity. Strength: Set Pieces Weakness: Slow at the back
NW: Talk about starting the season slowly, NW copped a few hammerings early on in the season possibly due to squad numbers, however have made a late run and secured 4th spot with some good results. Probably the most technical team in the comp and on their day can beat any team in the competition. Can be brilliant in attack, however their back line is their Achilles heal. Strength: Technical ability Weakness: Defense Past results:
BH V RH --> BH win forfeit RH V BH --> RH win 2-1
NW V WH --> WH win 4-1 NW V WH --> NW win 1-0
My Predictions:
BH 2-1 win NW 3-2 win

Excellent review of the semi finalists. True BH beat RH 6-2 but RH were without some players apparently.

Thanks for updating us all on the BH vs RH result from round 1. Not sure why its down as a forfeit, must be a mistake. 6-2 is a massive win by BH, maybe like cuptied says that players from RH were not available as after playing both these sides, would not of picked such a hammering.
What about some predictions guys?
Maybe some updated odds?

Don't think Winsto are really in the hunt. Got a few passengers. Norwest starting to get a bit slow in the middle of the park and at the back, but can still score some pretty good goals in numbers if on a roll. Down to Baulko and Rams. No real weaknesses for Baulko. Fast and skilfull all over the paddock, but can start to whine and get sooky if things aren't going their way, particularly with a nudge here and there. Keep the penalty pullers out of the box and they tighten up as not as good from outside. Still hard to beat. Rams have the defence to frustrate them and the fitness and speed to hurt at the other end, but need to stop trying to burst the net and be more clinical in front as they do create quite a bit that goes unrewarded. Baulko the pick, but no certainty. Could come down to troops available on the day.

Write Winsto off at your own peril, last year they finished 4th in the Granville comp and went on to beat Hills and then toongabbie (this years rouse hill team) to make the GF. They then pushed Granville rage all the way and went down 4-3. Yes they're inconsistent but they will turn up for semi final football and beat the overrated norwest baulko will win the other semi comfortably setting up a winsto vs RH major semi
