Ok so I support the mighty Mariners and I am not sure how many people are watching the game but these muppets are well... rubbish to put it nicely surely these players get a good ass kicking after all losses sorry about the rant but this is why not many people go to watch them live.

They'll be the North Shore Mariners a-league side within two years I reckon... playing at Brookie as part of a deal for serious council cash into that ground.
The SingletonDome has a curse on it.

I read that somewhere over the weekend as well. Im not sure if its the owners trying to scaremonger Gosford Council for some reason? Ie threatening to pull out.
I think you have the problem nailed down Fisho. They are, and have been playing awfull football for a number of years now, hence this is reflected in attendances and One of the reasons cited to re-locate. Moving to Brookvale would be a disaster in my opinion. Its well known that the Beaches are in the main Sky Blue with a splattering of Mariners and some of the other lot from the dark side. Fix the Football, and the crowds will return.
In other news. Another step towards the A League title again for the Sky Blues. One point to go boys.

I know someone that has connections with the playing group from a few years ago said that Mike Charlesworth (owner) dose not want to spend the money in the team and use his power for his building company and so he can continue building.

Thats sad. Hope the Mariners get sorted out. Love going up there for an away day. Great club accross the road for Beers and Food and welcoming home supporters to be honest.

Yeah man the thing that pisses me off is that the board only spends about 60% of the cap how can a team that spends so little compete with the likes of a team that spends 90 or 100%

I think it is a great league cause it is ours. I think we need to make the cap higher to get bigger names down here

We need to accept it is what it is. We loose so many players to over seas. Met an 18year old who is playing in Germany in a 4th division/tier just to get some experience at a high level. higher than NPL i guess. Sooner we get no cap and a promotion & relegation set up the better it will be. Before we get started on the rich teams, just look at England 4 to 6 teams dominate all the time. The rest fight like **** for the whole season so they dont get relegated. And we wont have any Charlesworths owning sides
