What's the view on finals being played at a team's home ground ? I thought that finals are always meant to be played at neutral grounds so as not to give one team an advantage. Otherwise the team finishing highest on the ladder should play at their home ground.
Anyone know why HFI has scheduled finals at teams home grounds ?

Sweeper i thought the same thing, although i play in a team who has home ground advantage this week. I think that they might have scheduled in what grade was going to play at what field a few weeks ago regardless of who they were

What advantage is there really, a boisterous home crowd?

What's more critical is playing on the best fields available this time of year....subject to clubs volunteering their fields as well....home advantage is overrated at this level...

I agree it seems a bit strange. However as a team that won 6 of our 8 home games this season and only 2 away I don’t mind getting a home semi final despite finishing 2nd On the flip side in previous seasons we’ve played the final at the oppositions home ground. J
