David Gallop is set to resign as the chief executive of FFA.
I wonder if the Matilda's performance at the recent World Cup & the sacking of their previous coach had any thing to do with his resignation ?

not sticking up for him but you cant blame him directly for the sacking yes he is on the board so it is the whole board that is at fault as well

CEO role of FFA isn't even half as big or important as it used to be, now that the A League is independent of the FFA. I'd say he's resigned because he lost control of the A League

I'd say he's resigned because he lost control of the A League He lost control of A-league a few years back after the fans revolted and the debacle with active support. He let the media and in particular one journo slaughter the local game. The only reason he was kept on because lowy needed a expensive puppet with legal knowledge.
