Good to see that the Hills Association has embraced technology and is moving to electronic Team Sheets.
My understanding is that all coaches and managers will be getting an iCompman login based on them being registered as coach and manager for that team.
One question that has come up is what happens when the manager and/or coach is unable to make it to the game ? In the past other parents would fill out and sign the team sheet. How will this happen with the new system ? Is it possible to delegate the coach or manager position to another parent for that game ?

The manager could share their logon id and password with another trustworthy person from their team.

That was my initial thought but was hoping there was another alternative. I'm not sure there will be too many volunteers when they realise what is required.
I would have preferred some sort of delegation function but to be able to delegate to another person, the delegate needs to be registered in iCompman and that is likely to then require a WWC and a FFA number which a number of parents may not have. There is also a limit on 2 people only being able to be registered for the one team.
One positive though - the referees also require a smart phone so all the junior refs can go to mum and dad saying that they need a new/upgraded phone for their part-time job

The new electronic team sheet system would have been used in yesterday's premier league matches. Does anyone know how successful they were??

I'd heard was not great. iCompMan shows only some of the PL results from the weekend. Previously was informed the results are supposed to be loaded automatically once entered by managers and referees. I'm expecting there will be teething issues in coming weeks. If there are problems just play the game and worry about how to address after the match.

The real test will be Saturday morning when loads of Junior team Managers are trying to log on at once. Last season it was as shambles for the first few weeks in Granville as there servers could not cope. Lets hope they have beefed it up

When they work, they are great. Used them as a coach for the last 2 years at GHFA. They did split the trial though with year 1 was P/L and all div 1 teams then, in year 2 it was extended to all divisions. Always found the best way to do it was to do my team the night before the game (if you know who is going to be there).
The first week or 2 was a bit of struggle getting used to the system, and I am sure the server crashed due to overuse but it was sorted out pretty quickly for the following weeks. Week 2 the association said to bring printed team sheets just in case, so i would be surprised if they have not mentioned this at Hills as yet. Something for them and the club results person to possibly think about if there is an issue.
We had a generic login for each team so the code could be passed among the parents if needed but it really wasn't an issue for our team as we had myself and manager there 99% of the time anyway.
Once you use it you will wonder why it wasn't used earlier.

Have clubs been given logins as yet? Just concerned it’s Tuesday and we still haven’t been provided with a login to at least have a look at it online.
