the guys that want 2 divisions have to be careful what they wish for... if that happens i think teams (outside of KVU, KVK & NR) will leave O45s in droves and head to lower division of O35s, rangers may have started a movement... there wont be an O45s... or maybe 45/1s with 3 teams. in O35/1's last year the top 2 teams won 11 games each; in 45/1s the top 2 teams won 17 and 16 games respectively... that's the joke. there's simply no chance for anyone else, very demotivating. If KVU, KVK and NR are so strong are you happy for 2 other sides in Div 1 just to make up the numbers (as long as it isn't your side)?
Last year teams outside of the top 2 of both divisions won no more than half of their 18 games, even if there are 3 dominant sides in div 1 you would hope you would be competitive in a majority of games during the season. Playing the top teams should be the biggest games of the year not something to be feared? What have you got to lose?
I played for one of the dominant sides last year and took no joy in the one sided nature of some of the games, that being said we play sport knowing we may win or lose, thinking you have no chance is something I'd expect from the under 9's! During the week Malta played Spain, Liechtenstein played Italy and Scotland managed to upset San Marino, embrace the challenge, not everyone gets a ribbon!!!

Scotland managed to upset San Marino? Hahahahahaha Scotland are ranked 40th out of 211 teams and San Marino ranked 211th out of 211 teams in Fifa World Rankings
If anything San Marino upset Scotland by only letting them score 2!
C'mon Ned, get Lucy on for you, she knows her stuff!

'We want to do well but we are well aware that there's a huge gap between your players and our players. We know we are the underdogs, but we will do our best to stop you winning.' said the Scotland captain before the San Marino game..... Or maybe it was the other way around :-)

Gladesville Hornsby have a similar problem with some very strong teams that others do not wish to play.
Looking at the GFHA fixtures, they have a combined div 1/2 comp with ten teams - div 3 with 8 teams and a div 4 and 5 comp with 6 teams each.
Too late now but a merged div 1 comp with GHFA could be considered in the future.

Div 1 are Pints, Div 2 are Schooners, at least until someone changes it again. I've seen a list of regrades. Two divisions, pints have 10, Schooners have 9. Some teams not going to be happy. Draw on compan will be changed, soon hopefully.

Or the mobile view may be better, noting that the draw will change due to reallocation of teams between divisions. Could have been a grand final rematch in Pints to kickoff the season. May still be.

Guys my 2 bobs worth
Hills have got it right. all the teams that are in div 1 in a 10 team comp should be there. Dont think any of them can complain.
All the promoted sides finished high up in div 2 last year or should be there from div 1 last year. & any team coming in from 35 3s & up should spend 1st year in div 1 & grade from there
Also agree with 24 teams before we get a div 3 group Promotion & relegation til then 2 up 2 down

Have heard the Norwest A team presently in division 2 are the majority of last year's O35 div 1 team. If that is correct then they may not have too much competition.

CHUGAR it is my understanding the Norwest A team only has a few blokes from the o35/1s from last year. The majority stayed in 35s

Agree in a difficult situation Hills have done what is probably the best thing - 2 divisions of 10 and 9. Can't have 3 divisions unless 24 teams (3x8). Yes some teams are stronger than others, so what. You will never get an exactly even playing field. I think they have done the right thing.
