With 3 games to go here’s my predictions Nothing will be decided until the final last round . 1 Castlehill 2.Kellyville Red 3. Glenhaven Blue 4 Kellyville blue.
All games have been close and perhaps a couple more twists if the top 2 let nerves get the better of them.

Kellyville Blue v Norwest. Match abandoned early in the second half, Kellyville leading 1 - 0 at the time. No adult referee and one of junior officials bravely stepped up, both teams agreed to behave and respect the young referee. The game wasn’t dirty but did have some extra niggle at times with several individuals letting themselves down and not appreciating the pressure this put on the 14 year ref. Whilst both teams took part in unnessary verbals some Norwest players seemed determined in following up with some post tackle acts of physical aggression, this only increased the pressure on the young ref. The final straw for the ref came early in the second half when after 50/50 physical tussle resulted in the Norwest No 12 throwing and landing a punch or two, to be fair on the Kellyville player he never retaliated . The ref immediately called an end to the game and was clearly badly shaken by the experience. I believe Post match the No 12 was red carded, this was the only card shown in the game.
Embarrassing afternoon to be on the field, too many individuals not capable of self control and need to have a good look at themselves. Not an experience that young ref will forget.

You should not have put that young referee in the situation in the first place.

There are no excuses for acting like violent idiots.
They embarrass the club they play for and themselves.

Why didn’t someone from the home team ref? Isn’t that what is meant to happen? Ridiculously selfish to put a 14 year old in the middle. Both teams should be reprimanded.

Home team ref could have been a worse result as its hard reprimand idiots if you don't have an official. What happens with the result? Both teams get zero points? This could really effect the final four and if it does they have themselves to blame

If there was an adult referee appointed and he just didn’t show up without providing reasonable notice to the ones in charge of appointments then I would tear up his referee credentials, never to be required again.

It was thoughtless and selfish to put a child in charge. Both teams should be reprimanded. Let the judiciary decide, however we have all seen this situation before and it never works out. Do you let your 14 year old drive because you’re over the limit?

Whilst I agree with most of stillgame 's report, it was slightly one-eyed. Your number 18 (who was shoving our No 12 in the back) was out to create trouble all match, and was about to be pulled off by his own manager (who had been threatening to do it for the previous 10 minutes - I was on the bench near him) when the incident happened. If he doesn't play that match, there would have been no trouble. Agreed that the retaliation by number 12 was uncalled for, and he deserves what ever he gets. However, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves for coercing that poor young man into refereeing, when you had plenty on the bench and could have supplied an adult. We should bear some of that blame too, for agreeing to play under that circumstance. realfootball , home ref would have at least been an adult. Would have been much more preferable to a 15 year old. Everyone loses out of this, but mostly that poor boy, who now will never ref again.

One legged, I agree both teams on reflection have regrets about the ref; however I don’t think coerced is the right words to describe what really happened. To be fair on both teams at no point did anyone direct any aggression at the ref. It’s certainly acknowledged that the match tension was too much for the young man and hope everyone takes this as a lessons learnt. As for our no 18 he’s a big lad and was on the other end of some afters both physical and verbal in the first half, I can certainly verify that, this set the scene for the incident in my opinion. I agree he should have been withdrawn earlier just to calm this situation down a little.
I suspect a home ref might have only fueled the tension.

I assume Norwest were also suspended at the weekend! Kellyville Blues need a win against Winston Hills on the final day to crawl into 4th place. Nothing between the two teams this year although the momentum is with Hills and a 0-0 draw is the bookies favourite.
