It would appear the Knights were much fitter and faster than us old farts and we were outplayed most of the match.

Crusty - I think there may be some new players but that is all normal for O45s needing to replenish the squad following annual retirements.
They will certainly challenge for the title this season in my opinion.

They will certainly challenge for the title this season in my opinion. From the squad of 17 from the 2020 season we had 10 returning players so the team decided to dip into the transfer market and add 6 from various teams in last years 45's competition, our average age last year was 53 and has now dropped to 51, a couple of boys from last years team have moved to Knights 45/3's or are playing with other teams while a couple have retired or remain on the free transfer list.

CHU 0 - 4 Rangers
Was a good match today and very enjoyable. Score line does not reflect the close match but Rangers took every opportunity.
Looks like we have our work cut out for us this season.

Rockets v Glenhaven Blue has been postponed. Field was closed due to flooding caused by a burst pipe.

Hills Knights vs Glenhaven Red ended 4-1, Knights had to borrow 2 players from the 45/3's just to make a bench, didn't last long injuries set in throughout the game and we played the 2nd half with the bare 11. Great strike from 30 yds by Glenhaven in the final minutes, Liverpool FC would of been proud of that strike. Game was played in good spirits and thanks to referee and both AR's.
Just waiting for our 44 gal drum of vagisil and hopefully we get a few on the bench for next weeks game.

A fairly even first half between Rangers & Rockets with Rangers up 1-0. Rockets ran out of fuel in the second half going down 6-0 in the end.

What a farce!
For some reason there was a 4pm kick off at Glenhaven Oval where the lights even when turned on are rather ordinary.
CHU led most of the match 1-0 but as the second half went on in darkness the referee asked the Glenhaven team to turn the lights on as it was very dark.
The referee stated he would have to call the game off if the lights did not turn on but he persisted with playing the game and the long ball game started. We conceded a goal in the dark and then another and then after Glenhaven scored their second goal the referee goes to the side line, makes a phone call and then calls the game off with 20 minutes still to play.
No lights - what an embarrassment for football.

Rouse Hills Rams 1-0 Hills Knights, bare minimum for us over the weekend, from all reports Rams scored in the last 10 seconds, hope to get 4 or 5 back this week and get back on track.
