Here we go! Another year for the Premier League.
My predictions:
Kolts - after enquires into their Salary Cap breaches and over spending from the godfather (self proclaimed) at Bernie, the Kolts will crumble in 2021. Their sponsorship with Tarocash is no more and will have to revert to wearing normal clothes to games like the rest of us. I also predict the Kolts players revolt against their coach for the second time in 3 years sending him packing after realising his not a very good coach at all, just likes to talk the talk.
Kolts - 4th
Kenthurst- the old fellas are back for another year. After raiding little black book of contacts searching for every NPL reject in the state, the Kenthurst Park dustbowl will once again be a hard place to visit, especially when the esky wheel barrow is full and the peanut gallery is in full voice.
Bush pigs - 2nd
Rams - the young boys of Rams had a fairy tale run last year only just missing out on the title. I see second year syndrome and the youngsters will struggle and be found out. Insist on playing within an athletics track that has 45 lines in the hopes of confusing the opponents.
Rams - 5th
Castle Hill - The Premadonas. The young boys show promise every year but fail to live up to expectations. This could be the year... as long as the balcony is full of upper middle wealth banter from All of the Karen’s in Castle Hill watching on their little angels on the pitch they will be fine. Careful not to tackle any too hard, mum will run down and give you an earful!
Castle Hill - 1st
Rockets - unfortunately the NPL is back and all of their Mounties boys are gone. Have some good youngsters but they think they are better then what they actually are. Will sneak in.
Rockets - 3rd
Baulko - the players will struggle. Mainly due to the embarrassment of wearing arguably the ugliest jerseys in the history of world sport. Seriously. Do better! Their coach will be in full voice on the side line trying to fight all other opposing coaches and all of your match balls will be lost into the Baulkham Hills State Forest.
Baulko - 8th
Winsto - have been searching for a new big Red for years now but the cult hero of Max Ruddock will never be replaced. Some say the club is retiring the legends shirt. Reports are unconfirmed. Like last year, Winsto will struggle and will likely see many players backing up for 2 games each week.
Winsto - 9th
North Rocks - similar to Baulkos coach, North Rocks coach is more interested in “banter” on the sidelines than actually teaching his players how to play. The perennial underdogs. Can steal some points on their day but don’t have the depth to be serious title contenders.
North Rocks - 7th
Norwest - the unknowns! They did win the All Age comp last year and have some rowdy boys. Expect some entertainment at Francesco with an equal amount of Red Cards. Will pick up points early but slide towards the end.
Norwest -6th
In other unconfirmed reports:
- Conway is back flying the rainbow flag for a record 25th year in the Premier League. Congrats old man, surely Ressies is calling your name?
- Referees held an urgent meeting over the offseason. Agreed they needed to do better, but conceded that Roods does actually know better and agreed that all decisions this year at Kenthurst Park must go towards the pigs.
- Baulko have strongly disagreed with my comments regarding their horrid jerseys and have committed to playing in them for another 15 seasons.
- North Rocks are still trying to convince everyone that playing on a Baseball pitch is actually a good idea.
- Everyone still hates the Kolts.
- the local barbers are doing soaring trades the morning of each live streamed game with the young lads all lining up for their weekly fades.
All jokes aside. Can’t wait for the season to begin!
