The NRSFC v SC match was played with a high tempo and substantial measure of intensity and physicality. It was that way from the get-go with either side ratcheting up as the match went on. The first half was scoreless and relatively even with NRSFC being unlucky on 2 occasions. In the second half SC went up with a lucky wall deflection into the net from a free kick. NRSFC pulled one back from a header, NRSFC stepped up another notch, and was awarded a spot kick when their striker was felled in the box, it was converted to give NRSFC their 2nd win of the season and hand SC their first loss of 2019.

NRSFC ran out 3 - 1 winners against Rangers. Neither side controlled possession nor the game at the onset as the possession regularly changed hands as each side played long balls pressing their opposition in their respective quarters. NRSFC got the better of this as they went one up with a smart touch from their striker, Rangers levelled after converting a spot kick, then NRSFC struck back almost immediately to make it 2 - 1 at Half Time. The second half was more NRSFC as they applied the pressure and were subsequently awarded a spot kick and converted it to make it 3 - 1; the score remained this way until full-time.

NRSFC won a close encounter with BH. NRSFC controlled the first half and netted 2 goals and had plenty of chances for more. The second half saw the momentum swing to BH with them firing 2 back; one from a pinpointed header and the second from an accurate cross; both BH and NRSFC tried to chalk up the 3rd with either side coming desperately close, but it was NRSFC that got the tie-breaker. NRSFC were very lucky to take all 3 points.

From what I have learned this morning is that the Rangers v Winsto game was abandoned during play on Saturday after an incident involving a winsto player and the rangers goalkeeper. I wasn’t there and don’t have all the details however from what I have been told is that the goalkeeper was carted away in an ambulance. Wish the lad a speedy recovery and hope to see him out on the pitch again this season.

I wasn’t there and don’t have all the details however from what I have been told is that the goalkeeper was carted away in an ambulance. Wish the lad a speedy recovery and hope to see him out on the pitch again this season. Update 29 Jun 19 Have refrained from commenting due to the severity of the injuries sustained by our keeper and the subsequent surgery that was needed. In short he will never be able to play again thanks to someone’s unnecessary stupidity. He was left with multiple fractures around his eye, cheek and jaw as well as a partially detached and torn retina. The specialists still don’t know if his eyesight will be 100%. He had surgery this week to install 3 plates and screws to reconstruct the left side of his face and is now in post op and not in a good way. Already 2 weeks off work and more time off needed and thousands of dollars out of pocket. Insurance will cover bugger all. The frustrating part is that it didn’t need to happen. Early in the game he came out for a ball and had it in his hands before the Winsto striker decided to run through him. Keepers need to be protected and in this instance he has been extremely let down through no fault of his own. Had his wife and kids at the game as well so it has been pretty traumatic for his whole family. Apparently the injuries weren’t severe enough for the Association to take any action though. Guys please remember we play for fun - the type of aggression that caused this incident isn’t necessary. Remember that your actions can have far fetching ramifications - it has for this player and his family.

Sounds like a far more worthy cause for a GoFundMe page than the likes of Israel Folau. Appears to be an extremely nasty incident that should never have happened to anyone.

Maybe think why neutral parties including the referee have a totally different version than you before you start blaming the association for letting someone down?
Why are posts like that not removed by administrators? That is of no benefit to anyone and if this discussion continues I'm sure it'll only go downhill.
.. and no i wasn't involved.

Not sure it was meant to entice arguments but keeping people informed.. heard about the incident and i think firstly we need to wish the goalie the best, irrelevant of circumstances or findings we all should agree that any contact with the face which results in this much surgery is not a good thing.. what i see this post highlights is that we pay insurances to play this great game and they don't cover anything. Wishing the Rangers goalie all the best -

Wishing the Rangers goalie all the best - Agree with Shadow, great to be kept informed especially on the player who has suffered in bad way. Hope that his recovery leads him to getting back to a normal life looking after his family. As for the insurance that is another subject on its own and it definitely leaves all players exposed to a big expense when any injury requires minor or major treatment.

North Rocks 1 Glenhaven 0 North Rocks well deserved winners. Highlight > didn’t have to hear that song Lowlight > some (not all) of the Glenhaven players thinking it wasn’t necessary to shake hands after the game.

This wasn’t removed because it broke no forum rules. You are all big boys and girls and the poster just informed people and asked that aggression be toned down, a good call I think. Just play nice with each other here, as has been the case for a long time, and we don’t have much to do. Big congrats to all posters really, it’s been a pleasure not having much to do.

I wouldn't say this is just informing and asking to tone down, reads very much like an accusation, extremely subjective, and that a specific attempt was made to seek punishment despite what the authorities stated..

With Kolts, Knights and Glenhaven Blue already safely in the semis, who is going to join them?? Looks to be a 3 way battle between GH Red, North Rocks and Rams.
Rams are favourites to sneak into 4th for mine, despite currently being 6th. Reds are starting to struggle (losing 4 of their last 6) and surely Rocks can't get in with a negative f/a
