So, the race for 4th comes down to two matches on the weekend. CHU host Glenhaven at 1.15. No one has taken a win against them yet so it will be a tough task. A win for CHU means that Winsto must win against Norwest in the late kickoff (6pm) at Francesco. Good to see the competition go right down to the wire.

Winsto 3 -Norwest 1. Two early goals gave us a good start against a side whose football is better than their table position shows. Prett relaxed game in the end and good to finish the season with a few beers. Looking forward to our home semi final next week against Baulko. One win apiece this year so should be a cracking match.

Well done Macduff. Home semi final? I do believe possession is 9/10ths of the law. Good luck and see you next week, we are playing at "home" at the same time as you.

True tonyc1008 ! But you're no better than squatters..... Winsto developed it, built it and most importantly spent $100k + on it making it the oval it is today ! And due to your contact in the right places, you are enjoying the fruits of Winsto's labor ! Sleep well with your clubs self for filling prophecy ! Oh and enjoy the finals.....

Congratulations to Glenhaven for winning the league and good lock in Division 1 next year 😀 3 rd and 4th Place are still open and you never know how it's going to go next week. It has been a great comp this year with some really great football. Good lock to all next week. Good luck in division 1 hopefully we will get some proper competition!

What a load of rubbish, Knights getting Masonic had everything to do with:
1. Winsto having 3 double fields in 2015 2. When HFA split in 2016 Council asked clubs for numbers of registered players so they could allocate fields correctly 3. Knights had two single grounds in 2015 and needed a double ground already to run their young division sides. let alone with their new numbers in 2016 from people fleeing north of the border 4. Winstos numbers dropped in 2016 Knights grew in 2016 5. Council allocated fields amongst clubs on a numbers basis 6. HFA didn't allocate fields 7. If you are looking for someone to 'blame' for Winsto 'losing' Masonic you should blame the committee that decided to stay in GDSFA as that was the catalyst for your numbers reducing and then having less numbers to support the need for 6 fields over a club with 2

'Unbearable' have a good read of blahblah's comments as they are right on the money. In the past I have cautioned people about going down this path as it opens a can of worms as we are now all under the same umbrella & these issues should be left in the past. We should all be working for the common good & looking towards the future rather than festering over issues of the past that are either real of perceived. Lets move on & be united.

Well done to all the teams that participated in the comp this season, especially to Glenhaven - were by far the best team and deserved to be premiers. Looking forward to watching the semis / final over the next few weeks. Good luck to all the teams participating.

Seriously the council took Masonic off WINSTO in February, before rego had finished ! ( after receiving an email in January from the council saying Masonic was allocated to WHSFC) That said WINSTO rego was down less than 100 players over 2015........ let's not let the truth get in the way of a good story...... as Unbearable said, self for filling prophecy ! And because WINSTO had built and developed 3 x 2 field ovals over 20 years, and couldn't move to an unsanctioned comp, due to there constitution, where's the justification for take Masonic of them ? 🤔🙄 anyway enough of the false news, let's move on and enjoy the finals and our fantastic HFA !

Correct, Council asked for registration numbers before rego had finished so that they could see how numbers were looking to then figure out how to allocate grounds before the season started. Rego goes right up after the season has started so I am not sure how they could allocate grounds after registration has ended as that would be multiple rounds into the competition That said WINSTO rego was down less than 100 players over 2015.......
Which is still 6 or so teams and couldn't move to an unsanctioned comp, due to there constitution
So why did Winsto poll their members to see if they wanted the club to move to any new association, sanctioned or not? where's the justification for take Masonic of them ?
Here's the justification for take Masonic of them: 2017 Winsto Teams over age 12 = 42 / 4 fields = 10.5 per field 2017 Knights Teams over age 12 = 31 / 3 fields = 10.33 per field Unless you are suggesting Winsto should have 6 fields over 42 teams (at 7 teams per field) and Knights should have 2 fields over 31 teams (at 15.5 teams per field)? 2017 Baulko Teams over age 12 = 46 / 5 fields = 9.2 per field
