Heard the same thing from a few at other clubs. That was the nominations and teams in that division plus others are also nearly done. Looks to be a tough comp, Norwest having no Prems and Glenhaven must have some new boys. North Rocks also look to have a new side so not sure what to expect from them. Norwest or Kolts to be favs id imagine? Any others??

But all other teams are good too, so there will be plenty of surprise results. Tough year ahead.

Wow. Dare to say this comp will be on par with the Prems. Hopefully no trophy hunters but should be a very tough comp.
Any trail games or seen any of the new sides?

Quality is better than reserves but in most cases just a step below prems. This is the top div outside of a squad based format, so difficult to say glory hunting can happen as the teams are generally just as good quality but don’t want the hassle of squad format / training commitment.
Winsto had a game a month ago, scraped a win against a div 8 Ryde team. No trials since though.

Yes better quality than reserves and maybe on par with lower end prems sides or mid table. Shaping for a good season anyways. Any trials sceduled coming up or anyone playing against another div 1 side? Baulko was scheduled to play Nth rocks this weekend but looks to be cancelled now

5 days until we kick off, with a full roster of 10 teams in the top div this year. Which team will throw a sook by round 4 and beg to drop divisions after some early pain? Which team will end up the bogie team that seems to beat the big boys but lose the simple games? Which team will battle for top honors in the hillscup? And which prems side will try to weasel their way into the comp at the back end of the year? No one knows, but there will be drama amongst some decent footy in 2019.
Early days yet with plenty of new teams and no way of knowing who is who, but here’s how round 1 could go down:
> Ville to beat Baulko - 2nd place in 2018 against an unknown kookas? If this is the same volatile bogie Baulko team as last year, then I guess anything could happen. > Coptic to beat glenhaven red - well it seems the prems boys want to see if they can cut the mustard in the top div - should go ok against what I’ll presume is a newly formed zellas > Glenhaven Blue to beat norwest red - coz blue teams are always better than red ones, I’m assuming this is last year’s experienced (ie old and too many beers but know what to do on the field) glenhaven team against a newly promoted norwest team > Norwest blue to beat north rocks - if this is the 37 person squad of norwest with their new star recruits, they are unlikely to drop many games, esp against a newly formed team who will take a bit of time to settle > Rd 1 blockbuster - teddies to get up over last year’s champs from the ville for an early season shock. You heard it here first.
Good luck to all!

Bernie Mullane saw a cracker of a match to kick off the season. Kolts blue, with no subs, extremely well structured and plenty of movement but lacking a bit of killer instinct up top, took a 1-0 lead in first half off what was half cheeky top corner chip / half miskick.
Teddies had the best of the second half, couldn’t really capitalize on a kolts sin bin early on, and saved it until the 89th to clinch the draw with a rocket free kick.
It will take something special for someone to finish above kolts this yr.
Blueroo - how are u boys looking after the washout heading into the game against Coptic next week?

Sounds like a good game mate. Good point made late too. We were primed to go but the drizzle took over. Squad now sorted with 5 additions so looking forward to Coltic this week.

Well it’s all over for another year. Here’s Cuda’s season summary: - kolts both top 2. Again. May as well replace the current prems squad with this lot. Better footballers and nicer blokes too. - Norwest red - the unknowns at the start, probably the best footballing side in the comp. Expecting a rave party in the middle of the field if they win their semi. - Winsto - dark horses climbing from 9th to sneak into semis on the last day (or maybe more like a Steven bradbury) - North rocks - impossible to beat on their home ground (size of a tennis court), hampered by injuries. Solid first season. - Glenhaven blue - tough as nails, but without their springbok saffa up top lacked the threat of years gone by - Norwest blue - always one of the best teams in the comp until they pack their bags and head on the annual migration to sail Croatia - Coptic - one of the better football playing sides, even if they still keep passing the ball when they make it to the opposition box. Was nailed on for top 4 but blew it part way through, and then just couldn’t get their junk together. - Glenhaven red - pacey, decent footballers when they actually rocked up. Boys going into a men’s comp, and shows why the youth league is crap and if young men want to grow up they should move straight to ressies football rather than hide in a juniors league. Pulled the pin half way through with lack of numbers / heart. - Baulko - don’t deserve to be winless (2 forfeits). Pretty hard to break down when they can get numbers to the match.
For me kolts blue should wrap up the finals series.
Great comp, every game was difficult to salvage points from. Still beats me how they call it division 3 😂

Kolts just too strong and consistent, Blue should take it out they are just a cut above the rest. Norwest Red were a suprise thats for sure but no idea how North Rocks didnt make the 4, they killed the first 10 rounds beat everyone bar a draw I think, very good side and mix of boys, was my tip to take it out but too many injuries and boys away and they seemed to lose the plot at times during games and eachother, who knows!? Coptic also a huge suprise, tough side and decent players. ]Glenhavens were decent and Winston Hills were ok but felt bad for Baulko, not a bad side and always turned up to play. Norwest Blue also a good side with a few guns

Good to see they have closed the PL thread. May as well close the comp for them too while they are at it 😂
Shame the AAM1 was punted this weekend, but looks like we’re back on for a Saturday morning kick off now. I picked Kellyville Blue to win it, but I sure do love an underdog story..
