Sydney FC will let new signings Siem de Jong and Adam Le Fondre off the leash in Wednesday's FFA Cup encounter against Avondale FC.
The highly rated attackers have been cleared to debut at ABD Stadium after proving themselves on the track since arriving from Ajax and Bolton Wanderers respectively in August.
While not prepared to confirm whether either will start the Quarter Final clash, Sky Blues coach Steve Corica is confident the pair are ready to make an impact.

Wanderers manage to win 2-1 after Melbourne City fluff a simple penalty.

You would expect Melbourne City with the home ground advantage & being awarded a penalty in the early stages of the game to go on & win the game. Maybe the Wanderers have turned the corner & are now turning those games which they would usually draw into wins ?

Well, 3 out of 4 predictions correct for the semis. Intriguing draw with the Sky Blues up against our neighbours.

Good tipping carpetspur.
The Semi-Final draw is as follows:
Sydney FC v Western Sydney Wanderers (Saturday, 6th October, 7:30 pm) Bentleigh v Adelaide United (Friday, 5th October, 7:30 pm)
Quarter-Finals results were:
Adelaide United defeated Apia Leichhardt 2-0. Bentleigh defeated Heidelberg 1-0.
Which two teams will make it to the Finals ?
Will it be a rematch from last year where Sydney FC defeated Adelaide United 2-1 in extra time ?
I think it will be between these two teams but I feel the gap between Sydney FC & the Wanderers has narrowed since last year so it wouldn't surprise me if they cause an upset.

Adelaide United defeated Bentleigh 2-0 & now progress to the Final.
Will it be a rematch of last year's Final between Adelaide United & Sydney FC ?

Definitely a game of two halves with the Wanderers dominating the first half but failing to capitalise on their chances. Very reminiscent of last season.
The second half was very much all Sydney FC who were able to convert their opportunities into goals. Probably one of the best performances for them so far this season.
Could be very much like Deja Vu for both teams.
Last year's final between Sydney FC & Adelaide United was decided in extra time with the Mighty Blues winning in the end. I think this will be another close contest as well. GO THE BLUES !! 😎

Spot on with your analysis Oracle. Redmayne had an outstanding game particularly in the first half when they should have had a couple and well pleased with the turn round at halftime especially with the new boys getting on the score sheet.Shame about Adelaide being drawn out of the hat first, so ill be very surprised if they manage 10,000 on a Tuesday night. Anyway, another final and hopefully retaining the Cup. COME ON SYDNEY!
